This type of grip probably allows for a much easier and more consistent high E ringing, but it looks so much harder.
I prefer to just bar with first finger and bar the “A” shape with my third. Allows for much easier transitions
The sick sound is cool though actually. Dissonant but in the right context it could work to add tension
